Drama, electricity, nerve, acidic, racy, excitement, alive. Choose your descriptor. This is a drop dead gorgeous bottle of white wine. It evokes classic Sauvignon Blanc and also is clearly a Bordeaux Blanc with breed and class way beyond its price point. Bright color that seems to sparkle like a neon light. Lifted perfume of honeysuckle, ripe melon, meyer lemon,
passionfruit with just a hint of cream and vanilla. Lovely tension on the palate between plush palate and racy acidity. Grip, length, and overwhelming pleasure. A classic white wine at an incredible value.
Canon-Fronsac is often called the Tuscany of Bordeaux because it is the most hilly part of the region. The vineyards for Strong Arms are at the very top of the hill and share the same soil as its rich neighbors St. Emillion and Castillon. The vines undulate with perfect exposure and surely must be one of the hidden gems of Bordeaux. The vineyard is almost all red varieties with just a few rows of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon.
