I love the Salamanca Market in Madrid and watching the fishmongers filet and debone with the Madrid Fish Knife is like culinary ballet. Like all things in Spain, if there’s something Madrid, there’s something in Barcelona that’s better, like there’s a Barcelona Fish Market knife, the same but different. When I went into my local knife shop in Barcelona and asked about the Madrid knife, the owner shook his head side to side and mumbled “too big.” I prefer the Madrid Fish Knife. I'd never seen a knife like it but when I did I had to have it. Great with fish, of course, but It’s also great at a backyard BBQ, for use as a cleaver., chopping ribs, brisket, roasts, etc. Use it to carve up a Holiday turkey this year. Your friends will envy you.
