There’s a small, mostly unknown wine region about a 1000 meters above Valencia, Spain, one of my favorite cities in Spain. I’ve made a career going to wine regions everyone else doesn’t. I love discovery and I love value. This is a Cava made by one of the winemaking legends in Spain, Vicente Garcia, the guy who essentially invented modern Cava and who the big guys call when they have a problem. This is Vinente’s own personal winery, and this Cava is fresh and complex with with hints of that yummy buttered toast quality that I love in bubbly.
